After hearing some murmurs for a while, it finally happened. The Center for Science in the Public Interest is helping a California mother of two sue McDonalds to get the chain to stop using toys as a way to market their unhealthy foods to children.
This is definitely a story to watch. I’d love to see an end to kids’ meal toys—I think it would be a hugely positive small step in protecting children from unhealthy food advertising, but I can also think of several reasons someone might disagree with me on this one. What do you think about it?

I agree… there are so many sides to this story. On the one hand, it’s not like parents are innocent in this, either… someone has to bring the kids there! On the other, why trick people into eating horrible food?
Haha seriously. If it’s so bad you need to bribe kids with toys, shouldn’t that be a sign?
