Another week, another  What I Ate Wednesday.  As always, thanks to Jenn for hosting the weekly link party. To see more WIAW from other bloggers, visit Peas & Crayons.

As I mentioned last week, this month’s theme is “fall into good habits.” After experiencing a little burnout, I realized one habit that would be good to fall into would be to fit a little more breathing room into my life. I know, I know–this sounds like a lofty goal, considering I’ve just added a Monday night class to my week. Still, it can be as simple as setting aside a Sunday afternoon to hang out with my sister instead of feeling pressured to clean or get ahead on work.

Rather than show you my daily-grind Monday meals and snacks, I thought I’d share my Sunday instead. My sister came into the city from Hoboken in the afternoon, and we went to lunch and walked around the Upper West Side. The weather was perfectly sunny and crisp (and yes, I wore sunscreen). I was so happy to finally be able to wear boots again—so comfy! Totally worth a cheesy thumbs-up.

We also stopped at a flea market—so much eye candy! I always walk away with so many ideas for how I want to decorate my apartment once I have the time and/or money.

As for the “what I ate” part of the day…

Breakfast: Old-fashioned oats with flax, banana, blueberries, and peanut butter; green tea & seltzer.

Lunch: At Josie’s—a mesclun salad, egg-white goat cheese omelette (and amazing potatoes), and a virgin bloody mary (it came for with my brunch—I just hate vodka but love tomato juice). I also had some decaf coffee.

Snack: 16 Handles—I went with graham cracker and cheesecake yogurt topped with blueberries, chocolate chips, and chocolate sprinkles

Dinner: Homemade zillion-bean soup with greens in it, leftover roasted veggies (brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, and eggplant), and toast with avocado

Snack: Greek yogurt with cereal and blueberries

What do you and your siblings do when you get together? Do you like flea markets?
