In the past few weeks, there’s been a little too much work and not enough play. Way to not take my own advice! It finally clicked for me that I needed to make the latter a bit more of a priority. Balance, Jess, balance! Taking time to smell the rose(s) is so important—know what I’m sayin’?

So far my weekend (which mentally started on Friday morning) has included some live music, a gorgeous walk in the park, and a birthday celebration in Hoboken at the Pilsener Haus Biergarten, where I got to catch up with my sister and some other lovely folks.
