Easter snuck up on me this year. I didn’t even get my act together in time to figure out what to do for Lent. It seems like it was just last Easter:
Jess and Eli Easter

Sometimes my family does dinner at someone’s house, but we’re doing what we did a few years back and going out for an early dinner this time. I kind of like holiday dinners out because the structure helps me focus on the “togetherness” part and provides a reliable beginning, middle, and end.

If you’re celebrating this weekend and still need recipe ideas, I shared my grandmother’s Greek lamb recipe over on Stone Soup this week. Traditional pairings in my family include salad and…pierogies and babka, since my mom’s side is Polish. Whatever works!

Easter 2015 Keeping It Real Food

This post has been part of another Running with Spoons Thinking Out Loud link party, where randomness is the name of the game. Thanks to Amanda for hosting.

Does your family celebrate Easter? What are some of the traditional foods?
