Wow, how it is Thursday already? This week is flying. As I do every week, today I’m sharing some random tidbits from the week. All hectic schedule-ness aside, I’m excited about this new month. I dig November. I kicked off my birthday month with some pumpkin cranberry oats in a near-empty peanut butter jar.

oats-in-a-jarIt was heavenly.

Sometimes I forget just how commonplace the day-to-day runaround has become for me. My work takes me to so many different neighborhoods and settings through the week. This is why comfortable shoes are key! The other day in a meeting, I pulled out some of my business cards—and a bandaid came out with them. When you’re on your feet running around in the city, those feet get pretty banged up. Luckily, we were able to have a good laugh about it.

Some other stuff:

*My latest piece for GoodZing is all about the MIND diet

*I was recently interviewed for a Self article about diets based on your DNA type.

*I recently had the chance to try these frozen steel cut oatmeal bowls from Grainful. I’m a tough customer when it comes to frozen food, but I have to admit, I loved the ingredients list and nutrition stats:

Grainful

I could recognize everything on the label! The calorie, protein, and fiber content were within a range I would recommend, and sodium wasn’t sky-high. Nice! I added in some random veggies I was trying to use up for extra color. All in all, though, the entree itself was very flavorful and satisfying. Though I still wouldn’t encourage making frozen meals a part of your everyday life, I appreciate that these exist as an option.

I haven’t tried the meal kits yet, but I’m interested to play around with those.

Hope you’re having a great week!

What’s on your mind today? Are you a fan of frozen food? Any foods in particular you’re loving lately?

This has been another installment of the Running with Spoons Thinking Out Loud link party, where randomness is the name of the game. Thanks to Amanda for hosting.
