How is it Thursday already? It’s that day in the week when we just talk about random stuff. On that note…
1.) This article about online dating in the New York Times Sunday Review made me laugh but bummed me out because, well, “too much jam” is right.
This part was wonderful, though:
“We recommend the following: If you are a woman, take a high-angle selfie, with cleavage, while you’re underwater near some buried treasure. If you are a guy, take a shot of yourself spelunking in a dark cave while holding your puppy and looking away from the camera, without smiling.”
2.) Anyway, to make myself feel better, I went out and bought myself roses. Pretty colors are effective as a therapeutic tool, that’s for sure.
3.) I love New York this time of year. I met up with some friends Sunday in Brooklyn Bridge Park and could not get over the gorgeous view. It was one of those days that was so gorgeous, it almost looked fake!
What’s on your mind today?
This post has been part of another Running with Spoons Thinking Out Loud link party, where randomness is the name of the game. Thanks to Amanda for hosting.

Your last photo has made me miss NYC so much. I lived there for 10 years and I loved all of the seasons in the city! I live in Glasgow now and it’s beautiful but I’m not sure what to expect my first summer here since the spring basically never happened!
Wow—what an adventure! I hope it turns out to be beautiful!
Flowers are definitely a great way to brighten things up… both physically and mentally. Actually, I should probably pick some up myself since my place is looking a little bare.
Amazing how they brighten up a room, isn’t it?
I love NYC [almost] any time of year. The flowers are beautiful. Such pretty colors.
Haha totally agree—it’s those dreary winter days where you have to wade through sidewalk slush that get me!
Those roses are beautiful! I <3 having flowers in the house.
Every time I do buy flowers, I tell myself I should do it all the time!
