ImageI spent some time in NJ with my mom and aunt today, mostly just running errands and doing a little shopping and planning for my move later this month. I didn’t buy much, but I did get an idea of what kind of rug and curtains I’m going to get after I’ve had a chance to take measurements. Exciting stuff, I know.

It’s been almost 5 years since I’ve lived in a studio, and I can’t wait for a fresh start. Taking care of a Manhattan one-bedroom all by myself was never really part of the plan, but, well, life throws funny things your way, and it usually all makes sense later.

Anyway, one of the things I’m planning to get once I’ve moved in is a juicer. I have an idea of what I want, and today at Bed Bath & Beyond, I went to see what they had that I could eyeball. They didn’t have what I was looking for, but I was amused at the placement of the Fat Sick & Nearly Dead DVDs near the juicers. I can’t help wondering how many shoppers walking by said, “Hm. I’m fat, I’m sick a lot. Could I be nearly dead? I must buy this $379.99 juicer!”

Are you swayed by savvy product placement? I know I can be!
