I never thought I’d be saying that Jersey Shore alum Snooki deserves a gold star for good habits, but it made me happy to read that, despite her initial misgivings about breastfeeding her newborn son, Lorenzo, she decided to give it a shot—with her baby’s health in mind. Turns out she really loves it and even tweeted recently, “I love nursing my little man!”
Okay, so maybe that makes me giggle and roll my eyes a little, but that’s probably just because I don’t have a “little man” (thank god for birth control—sorry mom). All the same, I like seeing celebrities promoting healthy practices (barring those “OMG—I lost 20 pounds in two weeks!” diets). It gives me the warm-fuzzies. While it’s true that not all women are able to breastfeed, it’s great to try something that could benefit both you and your child, even if only for a little while.
If you have children, did you breastfeed? If you haven’t had kids yet, do you think you will?
