We’re officially half done with 2021, and I don’t know about you, but I feel like my life right now looks totally different from how I imagined it would pre-pandemic. For a lot of people I’ve been talking with, there’s something about “re-entry” that’s been highlighting how much we still haven’t processed about the past year-and-a-half, so if you’re feeling a little tender as we approach the Roaring 20’s part of this pandemic story, you’re not alone. Be gentle with yourself.

I’ve been working on taking my own advice with that one. In April I had to have two breast biopsies (one on each side) and a skin biopsy on my chest, and thankfully, everything came back benign, but it forced me to re-evaluate so much — especially how I was spending my time and energy—and to get brutally honest with myself about what truly mattered to me and what I needed to let go of. I get it, universe: heart chakra stuff.

I know at the beginning of the year I talked about choosing a word and then in Q2 focusing on staying tuned in as I worked on thriving in a new environment.

“Clear” is another word that has been resonating with me since April. Clear pathology reports, sure, but also clear energy, clear thinking, clear communication, clearing space, clearing trauma…I still feel like I’m in the middle of this story and coming down from the stress, and I’m interested to see what I’ll have to say about this experience a year or ten from now.

Anyway, here we are, halfway done with 2021, and today I’m sharing my usual monthly round-up of recent podcast episodes, publications, and media appearances.
