Happy Sunday! Hope you’re having a great weekend.
I ‘m working at the hospital today and have been wrapping up some projects but just wanted to pop in to say hi. Sometimes life gets busy—or messy…
but then you clean it up and laugh about the good story you just ended up with.
Recipe to come…
Lately, my brain has been so full of “evidence-based practice” talk, I’ve found myself wanting to take a step back and revisit some of the work that first sparked my interest in the role of cooking in health and healing. And yet, cooking has become this everyday thing that I look forward to, but I’ve become shy about talking about the positive changes and habits that come with cooking for yourself—why? Maybe because I don’t want to sound like I’m out of touch with the hectic pace of real life. Haha okay, maybe not that, given that I am always doing too much. So maybe because thinking about past lives when you were less happy is a hard thing to do?
In any case, if you want some good Sunday-morning reading, check out this awesome Food 52 post about Michael Pollan and the new film adaptation of his book, In Defense of Food, which premiers on PBS December 30th.
Have a great day!
