Happy Tuesday. Oh, and Happy St. Patrick’s Day. I am all kinds of confused about what day it is after getting home from Miami yesterday, but it was so nice to go somewhere new and enjoy some warm weather after this monster winter.Sun Day Selfie

I even snapped a cheesy “sun”day selfie when I got up on Sunday morning. The humidity did crazy things to my hair, but it was kind of fun. It’s amazing what a little sunshine can do for your whole state of everything.

Yesterday, I had a lot of time to kill before my flight home, so I wandered around the ginormous terminal, had lunch, and even got an amazing foot massage, which was much needed after spending the previous evening in wedge sandals at the wedding.

I was leafing through magazines at a newsstand when I came across my own name in Women’s Health magazine in an article about how to make some out-there superfoods more approachable. For some reason, I didn’t think this was coming out until June, so that was a nice surprise.Women's Health 1

Go figure I’m the dietitian they call about bison, of all foods. I don’t know why I find this so funny, but it is. Women's Health bison

Some of the other foods in the article are cauliflower, sardines, and mushrooms, among others. I just liked the cowbell shout-out in the bison section.

I’m happy I got to take a little trip and hit the reset button, but it’s nice to be home. I’ve got a few days of business as usual and then looking forward to a conference/training this weekend. If I ever get another tattoo, it should probably say, “Busy is Good.”

Does the sun make you feel better? What are some of your favorite—or least favorite—superfoods?
