Can you believe we’re getting into mid-November already? Time is flying and soon all that holiday travel madness will be upon us. That Planes/Trains/Automobiles routine can make healthy eating extra-challenging, but to help lower your stress levels, I recently shared some of my favorite healthy travel snacks with the folks at YouBeauty.

conference snack bagI almost always pack fruit, sliced bell pepper, dry-roasted edamame, and a few packets of chia seeds or ground flax to add to yogurt or oatmeal. I also try to drink plenty of water, even when my mood has me wanting coffee—or (who are we kidding?) a cocktail. Reminding myself that feeling calm and energetic when I reach my destination is what helps me stick to the types of choices I want to make.

Of course, it’s important to be flexible and kind to yourself, so if circumstances find you feeling like you have to choose between evils, resist the urge to beat up on yourself and have confidence that you can get back into the groove after. One meal or snack does not have to derail your whole diet.
