Happy Thursday! For those of you in the States, hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. This week’s little bit of randomness will be short and sweet. My parents are hosting this year, and we’ve got family from both sides coming to celebrate. I’ve got yoga on the agenda and a little food prep.

I’m just amazed that it’s already Thanksgiving. This kicks off the whirlwind holiday season, which can be both awesome and overwhelming. I know it’s tempting to want to skip meals to “save up” calories for an event like a multi-course holiday dinner, but this can end up backfiring. Showing up hungry is a recipe for overeating. If nothing else, make sure you have a balanced breakfast to start your day on stable ground.

I also love an omelet with lots of veggies the morning before a holiday gathering.

Smoothies also a make great vehicle for vegetables. I am really into adding frozen riced cauliflower for a super-creamy texture and extra nutrient boost.
