Happy Monday! I know some folks have today off—any good long weekend goings-on?
As I mentioned the other day, I tried to take it a little easier this past weekend. Though I still had to do some work, I made time for more relaxing things too. Saturday was really fun, and then on Sunday, I unwound with a great hot yoga class.
My mom and I also had lunch at Arte Cafe, where we shared salmon and branzino, both of which came with lovely veggies.
Cappuccino also happened before we got manicures & chair massages and saw The Silver Linings Playbook. Yes, I know I’m late to the party, but wow! I loved it. It reminded me of Garden State, but darker—right up my alley!
I seriously needed a day like that! Great to catch up with my mom : )
What was the last movie you saw in theaters? Any good recent restaurant meals?

A darker “Garden State” is a great way to describe that movie! And with a better soundtrack, in my opinion (loved that Johnny Cash/Bob Dylan duet dance montage!).
The last movie I saw in theaters was “Zero Dark Thirty.” I try to see all the Oscar nominated films before the show!
That’s so awesome! Haha seeing as I have only 6 days before the Oscars, I might not get to pull that off this year, but that sounds like such an awesome idea!
And yes—totally agree about Johnny Cash & Bob Dylan’s “Girl From the North Country.” So perfect but unexpected!
Aww I love days with my mum doing girlie things. Especially going for lunch or dinner, yum. That film does sound quite good, I haven’t seen it yet but it’s definitely on my to-see list!
