Both dietetic students and people who travel a lot seem to be pretty comfortable discussing topics such as bowel movements and lacks there of. Pretty much everyone in the group I’m with has been vocal about having a craving for fiber. This afternoon between lectures (at the fabulous wine academy in Rome), a few of us dug in to some lovely salads to calm the visions of vegetables that have been dancing in our heads. Mine contained spinach, raisins, pine nuts, and pecorino, which is supposedly a typical Roman cheese. It was pretty tasty. Though I’ve been enjoying this trip, I’ll be happy to get back to my usual tofu, quinoa, and lentils…and to maybe not look at another slice of Italin bread for six months…
