February was an exciting month for me, personally and professionally.

Thank you to everyone who reached out to congratulate me and when I announced my engagement on social media. I have had a long-standing rule about not sharing a lot of details about my dating life online(I enjoy having a private life), but that was something really special I wanted to share.

On the work life front, I have still been doing a lot of book promo. If you’ve read and enjoyed The Little Book of Game Changers, it would mean the world to me if you’d consider writing an Amazon review. I’ve also been working on some exciting stuff behind the scenes I can’t wait to share with you later this year.

One mistake I made when I was just starting out in my career was comparing myself to people who were very well established and feeling bad about myself for not having gotten there yet. Or I would (usually mistakenly) assume that they were doing every single thing themselves and think that my inability to do the same was because I wasn’t working hard enough. That’s why I think it’s important to give a peak behind the curtain now and then. I’m really excited about the new stuff I’m working on to share with you soon, but I needed to make time to actually do that work. Younger me would have tried to just throw it on top of the pile, but older and wiser (but especially older) me who has lived through burnout was, like, “Nope, we don’t do that anymore.”  So I’ve temporarily changed my podcast schedule to publish a new episode every other week so I can focus on sharing quality content without running myself into the ground in the process.

I’m also stoked because I finally figured out how to fix a long-standing issue with the sound quality on interview episodes, so I’m thrilled to be able to roll out episodes that sound better! I’ve got some great conversations with inspiring guests coming your way in the weeks and months ahead!

As I do every month, today I’m sharing a look at what I’ve been up to in the past month.
