Cutest cake ever.

Today is the first day in recent memory that I’ve not had to set an alarm clock the night before. I wish I were being hyperbolic, but things have been busy in this little corner of the blog-world.

Today, though, I’m grateful and excited that the only things on my To-Do list are a haircut and then watching two of my favorite people get married tonight. At the bridal shower back in March I remember thinking how far away May 17th sounded but had a feeling it would get here quickly. No s***.

Oh, I’m also kind of exceed about this post on egg sandwiches from the Smitten Kitchen.  The shakshuka pita is totally my jam, and that egg BLT? Oh my goodness—the only change I would make is to use avocado in place of mayo because I want avocado on pretty much everything.

I know that for a lot of us, the tendency is to roll our eyes when people talk about life as a journey, but I  kind of feel like I’ve been living out of a suitcase the past few months. I’m looking forward to taking it (my version of) slow today and catching up with some old friends. Oh, and of course cake, wine,3 and dancing. I am always looking forward to those.
