Calling this a recipe is kind of an embarrassment, but I’m loving this so much lately I just had to share with you guys. This simple snack doubles as a secretly-healthy dessert or pre-brunch bite to avoid waiting game hanger, thanks to its filling combo of protein, complex carbs, and fiber.

Berry-Ricotta-Snack

I’ve been enjoying this lately with organic frozen raspberries because I love the texture and flavor—and the cost!. Another awesome thing is that frozen berries are flash-frozen at their peak freshness, locking in those kick-ass antioxidants. I know fruit gets a bad reputation sometimes because they contain carbohydrates, but when it comes to foods to keep on the Good Foods list, berries deserve their place. They’re packed with essential vitamins and minerals and loaded with filling fiber.

Easy Berry Ricotta Snack

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 cup part-skim ricotta
  • 1 teaspoon raspberry jam
