Breakfast is important. I have no idea how some people start their day without it. The oft-repeated saying goes, “You wouldn’t drive your car without putting fuel in the tank, so why would you start your day on empty?” It sounds a little silly, but it’s so true! Eating breakfast—even something small like a piece of fruit—revs our metabolism and helps us avoid overeating at lunch by keeping our energy level stable.
Though time is a big factor, sometimes on mornings that go too fast, you just have to do what you need to do to make it happen. Yeah, that might mean being the weirdo on the Shortline bus with the oatmeal in an almond butter jar, but hey, whatever works.
