In an effort to bring healthier food to its theme parks, Disney has replaced the McDonalds in its Downtown Disney, Orlando location with a Babybakes NYC, which is famous for its sugar-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, soy-free, casein-free, egg-free, kosher treats.
Other new eateries replacing the fast food outlet include restauranteur Larry Levy of Spiaggia‘s Pollo Campero and Fresh Apeel.
It may not be as big of a deal as Obama’s signing of the Food Safety Bill (finally), but it’s still a bold move that makes a statement.
While a cupcake is a cupcake is a cupcake, at the least the allergy-sufferers and kids with the hyper-restrictive parents will be able to enjoy a treat at Disney too!
