Have you ever noticed that cuts of meat don’t come with nutrition labels? Well, that’s set to change in 2012, when the 40 most commonly purchased varieties of beef, poultry, lamb, and pork will now feature labels that reveal calorie content, calories from fat, total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium, protein and vitamins.

For hamburger lovers who are mystified by what’s in their meat, this is good news. Pigs’ feet enthusiasts are probably on their own. But hey, you can probably find that info somewhere online if you’re willing to do the detective work.
