Knowing that breakfast will involve chocolate makes it a little easier to get up early in the morning. Recently, I’ve been making steel-cut oats with banana, cocoa powder and vanilla and then stirring some cottage cheese in at the end. Weird, yes, but really good.
Today I don’t have any classes, but I’m heading out in a bit to get a bone density scan—I don’t know why I’m nervous, it’s not particularly invasive or anything. My doctor suggested I get it to check in on that injury from earlier this summer and assess where I’m at. If I need to worry about building bone mass, I’m still young enough to be able to do something about it. After you’re thirty, you’re basically stuck with what you got and have to focus on maintenance.
