In the third of a series of county-based reports by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), all 3,141 U.S. counties were ranked according to their activity levels. Not surprisingly, Colorado is one of the most active states in the country, along with California, Hawaii, Minnesota, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington.

So which states were shown to have the least active populations? Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.

Data for the study were collected from the Census and the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (an ongoing phone survey) in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

I always think this kind of stuff is so interesting! You can read more about this study here.
