So…yesterday was National Peanut Butter Day. The blog world was full of recipes, roundups of random facts, and all other manner of “OMG, nut butter” enthusiasm. Is it just me, or are food bloggers, like obsessed with the stuff? I’m seriously just waiting for Woody Allen to get on that and throw in a character who’s always taking pictures of her food and foaming at the mouth over breakfast.

That said, peanut butter is pretty awesome. Protein plus poly- and monounsaturated fats plus flavor? Sign me up. Still…I’m just not that kind of writer, especially not when it’s balls-cold in NYC. It’s hard to get excited about a spoonful of ground-up nuts when you have to suit up and step out into the urban tundra. F*** peanut butter—give me a f***ing fireplace. Or at least some soup…

However, basically every day is peanut butter day in my little corner of the universe. This morning was no exception.

It also happens to be National Hot Tea Month and National Oatmeal Month. I got that covered. Check out my Recipes page for some of my favorite hot breakfast concoctions.

For the record, today is National Irish Coffee Day. Do you plan to celebrate? Also, do you like peanut butter? What’s your favorite way to eat it?
