Black Friday and Cyber Monday are prime time for online shopping. While you’re looking for gifts for your nearest and dearest, don’t forget to put yourself on the list. This is a time of year where we’re more prone to throwing self-care out the window, but gifting yourself a few nice things to help make it easier to put your own health and wellbeing on that list of priorities can help you feel upbeat and energized so you can focus on gratitude and holiday cheer. Here are some of my favorites.

Holiday Self-Care Gift Guide

Essential Oil Diffuser

This is my favorite Essential Oil Diffuser . I bought it as a gift for myself last year, and I use it almost every day.

Essential Oils

You’re going to need some oils to go in there too! Chances are you know someone who’s a Young Living or doTERRA distributor (I’ve got a few of each in my family), but if you don’t, you can easily order what you need online. I know there are a lot of cheap oils out there, but I really would encourage springing for the high-quality stuff. It really does make a difference. Not sure what to start with? I love lavender for its calming aroma, grapefruit for its uplifting energy, and peppermint for its energizing, invigorating effect. There are lots of beautiful blends to check out too. One of my longtime favorites is Young Living’s Thieves , which is at once warming and cleansing—perfect for a time of year when we’re rushing around in the cold to go be surrounded by other people. All that face-time can be rejuvenating or draining (or both!) so having a way to unwind is helpful.

Subscription to a Digital Wellness Program

Holiday travel can throw us way out of our usual workout routine. That’s why I love services that let you stream workouts. They’ve been a game-changer for me and my clients. A few of my faves that I recommend a lot are YogaWorks, Exhale on Demand, and Naturally Sassy. You can do these workouts practically anywhere—perfect for a hotel room or cramped guest bedroom. I also love that they require minimal, if any, equipment.

Yoga Mat & Accessories

This is also a great time of year to get yourself a new yoga mat (I love this one from Manduka but there are so many great options) and any props that will elevate your experience. It’s amazing how these tiny, cost-effective things can be such an upgrade.

  • Yoga Blocks are a great low-cost way to improve your home practice. This Gaiam Essentials Yoga Block 2 Pack also comes with a strap. I have it in gray!
  • If you’re a pilates fan, a Pilates ring, which takes up almost zero space, can help you strengthen. When I found one in pink (my secret favorite color), I had to have it.

Foam Roller

If I could go back in time, I would give my younger self a foam roller . I actually have a full-size one for home and then a smaller one that can fit my suitcase for longer trips. It’s amazing for easing the muscle-soreness you end up with from sitting for a long time in planes, cars, and buses during holiday travel.

If you’re new to foam-rolling, you’ll love this foam-rolling course from Lauren Roxburgh for mindbodygreen

Delicious Tea

This time of year, it’s easy to fall into patterns of stress-eating or mindlessly eating holiday treats that are lying around. I’m a big fan of tea for moments like these. A few  favorites are mint and chamomile, but lately I’m obsessed with this Good Earth Organic Sweet and Spicy Tea

A Copper Pitcher

Hydration is so important, especially when it’s dry and cold this time of year. As I wrote about a few weeks ago, a beautiful drinking vessel can be a great way to remember to drink up. This Shantiva copper pitcher is a lovely option.

A Healthy Meal Kit Delivery Service

I often see people fixate so much on staying healthy during a trip that they forget to plan for when they get back. Scheduling a grocery delivery or a healthy meal kit delivery service can make a big difference. I’ve talked about how much I like HelloFresh on here before, but I absolutely love Green Chef. There are tons out there, though, so scope it out and see what looks like a good fit for you.
